Under the Veil I Rule
Chapter 120

"Things are getting out of hand, aren't they? How about we replace a place to sit and talk this through?"

"If Ama is forced to leave, then I'm out too."

Another voice cut through Cedric's suggestion, and everyone turned to see who it was from. To their surprise, it was Lucian speaking up.

Lucian, the breakout star of Whispers of Winter, had rose to fame the recent years. Unlike other young stars who either were attractively cool or approachable, Lucian radiated slight gloom, his demeanor more like a lone wolf with sharp fangs.

As everyone turned to look at him, Lucian stepped forward, uttering blandly, "If Ama leaves, I leave too. I'll pay the penalty fee."

Unlike Keith, who rushed to the scene after getting a text, Lucian had witnessed the whole ordeal of Amara getting picked on. He was itching to confront those people, and if Keith hadn't stepped in first, Lucian would have; Keith acted just one step ahead.

Amara frowned. It was one thing for Keith to stand up for her; they had a close bond, and he had multiple resources and the clout to back her up. But Lucian? He was just a newcomer with no safety net. If he crossed Finnian and Liliana, what would happen to him?

Amara thought for a moment and then walked over to him, speaking softly, "Lucian, don't be rash. Let's have a talk."

Lucian, stubborn as a wolf cub, pressed his lips together in silence, his demeanor fierce.

Amara sighed inwardly, took Lucian's hand, and led him to the break room. Keith, hands in his pockets, leisurely followed them.

The others watched the trio head to the break room, still reeling from the drama. What happened today was surreal. First Keith, now

Lucian both incredibly handsome

If Amara had been a stunning beauty, a damsel in distress might have been a plausible scene. But she was known for her hideous looks.

The door to Amara's room closed with a thud, snapping everyone back to reality.

"Well, since Ama's gone to the room, maybe we should take a break too?" Cedric cautiously suggested, his forced smile betraying his nerves as he looked at Liliana and Finnian.

Actors rebelling en masse-the

director was feeling the pressure. He had no time for idle thoughts; with the screenwriter and two lead actors threatening to walk away, he was desperate to resolve the situation promptly.

Finnian stared at the closed door, his expression unreadable.

"Finn." Liliana called out as she tugged at his sleeve, looking for a decision.

Finnian averted his gaze and walked toward Liliana's break room without a word.

Inside her break room, Amara shut the door and gestured for Lucian and Keith to

sit.

Keith, ever the picture of

nonchalance made himself

comfortable on the sofa, crossing his legs as if he were at home. Lucian stood in front of her, his wolfish determination evident. He reiterated, "Ama, you helped me when no one else did. I'll never forget that. I'm with you, whatever it takes."
