Under the Veil I Rule -
Chapter 132
Ethan tapped his fork against the table, frowning. "Let's not talk about this anymore, let's just eat."
"I'm done, I've lost my appetite."
Liliana stood up and headed straight for the bedroom.
She couldn't stop thinking about everything that had happened lately, especially the divorce papers she'd seen in Will's office that afternoon, the ones that had almost made her explode with anger. Her frown deepened as she dwelled on it.
Time rolled on, and there were only three days left until the end of Amara and Finnian's divorce cooling-off period.
As the date approached, Amara felt increasingly relieved. She found herself humming tunes every now and then, and it was obvious to everyone how happy she was.
But that afternoon, she got a call that dampened her spirits.
"Ms. Sullivan, let's meet at the Starbucks by the shooting location at one this afternoon. I'll be waiting for you at the window seat."
Hearing Liliana's voice, Amara immediately retorted, "Why should I have coffee with you? I'm not going."
After everything that had happened, Amara didn't even bother with the usual pleasantries and was direct.
Liliana was persistent. "I want to discuss something related to your divorce. I promise it won't be nonsense, Ms. Sullivan, come on, let's sit and talk."
Amara wanted to ask what it was about, but Liliana hung up abruptly. When she tried calling back, Liliana's phone was off.
Amara furrowed her brows. She didn't want to deal with Liliana, but she was curious about what Liliana was up to.
After all, a coffee shop was a public place, and Liliana couldn't do anything there. With that in mind, she decided to go.
"Ms. Sullivan, I've seen your divorce agreement. Most of the terms seem fair, but Finn shouldn't be giving you so much money. You don't deserve that much."
As soon as Amara sat down at the window seat in the café, Liliana began. Amara's lips curled into a bone chilling smile.
"That's Finnian's decision. Whether I deserve it or not is up to him, not you. Please understand that."
Her words were blunt, but Liliana seemed unfazed and continued,

"Ms. Sullivan, I hope you can voluntarily give up the assets Finn is offering and leave with nothing."

"What?"
Amara was taken aback.
"After all, the Everly family gave you plenty of money three years ago That's more than enough to keep you comfortable for the rest of your life. You shouldn't take what's not yours," Liliana went on.
"Otherwise," she added with a gruesome smile, "when people get unexpected windfalls, they often replace they can't handle it and end up losing everything."

Her words were practically a curse. Amara snapped, "Liliana, I've already said I'm keeping that money. Who are you to come here and try to change my mind? You have no in my business. Besides, that's Finnian's money he's giving me. If you have a problem, take it up with him, not me."
Indeed, Liliana couldn't stand the thought of it. If it went well, she would be Finnian's future wife, so she viewed his money as practically hers.
When she found out Finnian had given Amara so much, including three million
dollars and a mansion worth over ten million, it drove her crazy.
That was why she was here, trying to negotiate with Amara.
"Ms. Sullivan, why do you even need that much money?"
