These two friends were truly looking out for her. If they found out that her divorce hadn't gone through yet, they'd be worried sick.

But it was something that had to be shared eventually. Amara briefly explained Finnian's car accident, and Elysia immediately exclaimed, [He actually got into an accident? Why didn't it just finish him off? That man is such a jerk!]

[Oh shoot, I think Dorian saw my message. There would possibly be another fight. I better bail for now.]

Amara chuckled, turned off her phone screen, and lay on the bed for a moment. Before long, she felt a sudden pang of hunger. It was already five o'clock, so she grabbed her phone to order some takeout.

She had eaten quite a bit for lunch, but lately, her appetite had grown due to the pregnancy. And she'd been experiencing morning sickness, feeling nauseous and throwing up quite often, which left her feeling hungry all the time.

After dinner, which she ended up throwing up again, Amara clutched her empty stomach. She thought to herself, next time the divorce needed to be finalized, or things could get messy once her bump started showing.

By seven in the evening, she nibbled on a little something to settle her stomach and then headed to the film set. There was a night scene to shoot, an important solo scene for the lead actress, and Amara needed to be there to take notes.

Liliana was a skilled actress; she only had to redo the scene twice before nailing the challenging part. As everyone wrapped up and prepared to leave, Liliana approached, lowering her voice. "Is it true you and Keith are childhood sweethearts?"

Amara was unsure where she'd heard that from. Was it Cedric who spilled the beans?

She replied coldly, "Why do you ask?"

"Don't get too smug. You two won't last," Liliana said with a sneer dancing at her lips.

"Sure, you two have a history, but you know what a mess you are right now. Someone like Keith wouldn't stick around for long. He's not blind."

"You came over just to say that?"

"Yes, got a problem with that?"

Liliana wore a self-satisfied

expression leaving Amara speechless. Liliana must really despise her now. Even though she wasn't interested in Keith, seeing Amara with someone as good as him must have gotten under her skin.

Amara looked up, calmly saying, "Are

you just jealous because I'm doing

well? Let me tell you, jealousy is pointless. You'd be better off having some ice cream to cool down because seeing me succeed will only make you more bitter

"What did you say?"

Liliana's eyes widened in shock. Amara had changed. When they first met, she seemed so meek and easy to push around. Now, she was becoming more formidable.

"I'm speaking plain words. If you can't understand, that's on you."

Amara was done with the conversation. She grabbed her bag and turned to leave.

At that moment, Will appeared in a sharp suit.

Liliana noticed him out of the corner of her eye and immediately put on a bright smile, inquiring, "Will, what brings you here? Is Finn asking for me? Give me a moment, I'll be ready soon."

Will smiled politely. "Ms. Porter, there's been a misunderstanding. I'm here to pick up Mrs. Everly."

Liliana froze, turning towards Amara. Then she looked back at Will. "What did you just say?"

"I'm here to pick up Mrs. Everly," Will repeated. "It's Mr. Everly's instructions."

Liliana clenched her fists, her gaze towards Amara filled with unmasked hatred. But she was quick to compose herself, turning back to Will with that familiar poised and graceful demeanor.
